Getting started

4 answers

How do I get the app?

Download the Learnaroos app from the App Store on an iPhone or iPad. It is free, with no account needed to start playing. Android is coming soon; say hello on the contact page and we will tell you when it lands.

Do I need an account?

No. Profiles, progress and stickers live on your device. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional and only helps if you want the same subscription on another device.

How do kid profiles work?

Each app supports two kid profiles. Each child gets their own avatar, levels, sticker book and progress. You can add, rename or delete a profile from Settings behind the parent gate.

What is the parent gate?

Anything meant for grown-ups, such as Settings, Plans and external links, sits behind a quick arithmetic question that small children cannot answer. It keeps kids inside the games.

Free time and Pro

6 answers

What is free?

Every game and every level, for 30 minutes a day. The 30 minutes are one pool shared by both kid profiles, so switching profiles does not double the time. The pool refills every morning.

What happens when the time is up?

The game pauses and shows "Ask a grown-up". A parent can pass the gate to see the Pro plans, or simply wait for tomorrow. Nothing is lost: progress, stickers and levels stay exactly where they were.

What is Learnaroos Pro?

An optional in-app subscription that removes the daily time cap. The price is shown in the app and in the App Store listing. Everything else, including progress tracking and the parent report, is already free.

How do I cancel?

On iOS open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Learnaroos and tap Cancel. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. On Android it will be the Play Store subscriptions page.

Can I get a refund?

Apple and Google handle billing, so refunds go through them: reportaproblem.apple.com for iOS. If something odd happened, contact us and we will help you sort it out.

I bought Pro but the app says I am still on the free plan.

Open Settings, pass the parent gate and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID that bought the subscription.

Games and learning

5 answers

What ages is the Learnaroos app for?

Ages 3 to 12. The 43 games are grouped into worlds by skill, and every game climbs through 100 levels that get harder as your child improves, so the same game grows with them.

What do kids actually learn?

Mouse and tap control, tracing letters and numbers, touch typing, counting, the four operations, fractions, telling time, money, memory, patterns, logic and simple programming with Robot Steps.

What are stickers, eggs and the garden?

Finishing a level earns a sticker for the sticker book. Playing well sometimes hatches a surprise egg with a creature in it. The streak garden on the home screen grows a little for each day your child plays.

How do I see my child's progress?

Open Settings, pass the parent gate and tap Activity Report. It shows days played, minutes, games, accuracy and favourites for each child. Every Sunday at 5 pm the app also sends a short progress summary as a notification. The report is free for everyone.

Why is there no voice saying "great job"?

On purpose. The voice reads letters, numbers and words, which is the learning content. Praise is shown on screen as a sticker or a cheer from Pip, so kids are not trained to play for the applause.

Books

3 answers

Where can I buy the books?

Each book page links to the shop where it is available, usually Amazon as a paperback. Books that are not out yet are marked "coming soon".

Are the books the same as the apps?

They are built to go together. Our first book, My First Little Drawings, is a trace-practice-draw activity book for ages 3 to 7. A coloring app with the same pages is planned, so what your child draws on paper they can also color on a tablet.

Can I see the pages before buying?

Every book page shows the cover, the back cover and a few sample pages. The full book is only in print and, later, in the app.

Privacy and safety

3 answers

Is it safe for young children?

Yes. No ads, no chat, no external links outside the parent gate, no in-game purchases aimed at kids. The apps meet Apple's Kids Category rules and COPPA.

What data do you collect about my child?

None on our servers. Profiles and progress stay on your device. The only thing that leaves the device is the anonymous purchase receipt Apple and RevenueCat need to recognise a subscription. Read the App Privacy Policy for the details.

How do I delete my child's data?

Delete the profile in Settings, or delete the app. Both remove everything, because nothing is stored anywhere else.

Technical help

5 answers

There is no sound.

Check the ring/silent switch on the side of the iPhone or iPad and the volume buttons. The app plays sound only when the device is not muted. Headphones that are paired but not worn can also swallow the audio.

Which devices work?

Any iPhone or iPad running a current iOS. Tablets are best for tracing and drawing games. Android phones and tablets are coming soon, with Amazon Fire tablets after that.

What notifications does the app send?

Two, and only if you allow them: a short "play time has reset" nudge at 10 am on free plans, and the Sunday 5 pm progress report for parents. Turn either off in your device's notification settings.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Every game, voice line and sound is inside the app, so it works on a plane or in the car.

Something is broken.

Update the app from the App Store first. If it still misbehaves, email support@learnaroo.io with the device model, the iOS version and the game name, and we will look into it within a day or two.

Still stuck?

Tell us what happened and on which device. We reply within a day or two.
