Privacy Policy for the Learnaroos apps
Applies to every Learnaroos app on iOS and Android, including the Learnaroos app · Last updated October 3, 2026
We take your privacy and the privacy of your children seriously. This policy explains, in plain terms, how our kids' learning apps collect, use and protect information. It applies to every Learnaroos app on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Our apps are completely ad-free: no pop-ups, no banners, no video ads and no third-party advertising of any kind.
Information we collect
The apps store your child's profiles and game progress directly on your device, not on our servers. The only information that leaves your device is what Apple, Google and RevenueCat need to handle sign-in and your subscription, described below. None of it is used for advertising or shared with data brokers.
From the parent (only if you choose to sign in)
- Email address: provided by Apple or Google if you sign in. Stored on your device to show which account you used. We do not send it to a server or use it for marketing.
- Name (optional): only if you choose to share it during Sign in with Apple or Google. Stored on your device.
- Anonymous subscriber ID: a random identifier RevenueCat uses to recognise your subscription. It is not your email or any external ID.
- Subscription status: whether you have an active subscription. We never see card numbers; the App Store or Google Play processes the payment.
About your child (only what you enter)
- Profile name (a nickname is fine), avatar and an optional age range, stored only on your device.
- Game progress: levels completed, scores, time played, stickers and achievements, stored only on your device.
What we do not collect: location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, browsing history, advertising identifiers (IDFA or AAID) or any biometric data. We do not use third-party analytics, tracking SDKs or advertising SDKs, and we do not send your child's profiles or progress off the device.
How we use information
- To run and improve the learning games.
- To track your child's progress on your device, show the Activity Report and personalise their learning.
- To process and restore your subscription.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules two kinds locally on your device: a reminder when the daily free play time has reset, and a weekly progress summary for parents. They are created on the device from on-device data; no notification server is involved. Turn them off anytime in your device's notification settings.
In-app purchases and subscriptions
Subscriptions are sold through the store you downloaded from: the Apple App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android. We never see your card number, billing address or any payment details.
We use RevenueCat, a subscription-management service, to recognise your entitlement. RevenueCat receives the App Store or Google Play purchase receipt and your anonymous subscriber ID: no name, no email, no card details.
Manage or cancel anytime in your device's subscription settings (iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Android: Google Play → Subscriptions). Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google.
Service providers
- Apple Inc.: Sign in with Apple, App Store billing and app distribution on iOS.
- Google LLC: Sign in with Google, Google Play billing and app distribution on Android.
- RevenueCat, Inc.: subscription entitlements as described above.
We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDK, AdMob, AppsFlyer, Branch, Segment or any advertising, attribution or tracking service in the apps.
Data protection
Your child's profiles and progress are stored on your device and protected by your device's own security: passcode, Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint, and the operating system's app sandboxing.
Children's privacy (COPPA and GDPR-K)
The apps comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and GDPR-K in the European Union. Because a child's data never leaves the device, there is no server-side profile of your child to share or sell. Links out of the app, settings and purchases sit behind a parent gate.
No selling. No advertising.
We do not sell, rent or trade your or your child's personal information, and we do not share data with advertisers or data brokers. The only times data leaves your device are to the service providers listed above.
Your rights and deletion
- Access and correct: view and edit profiles, ages and avatars anytime in the app.
- Delete: remove individual child profiles, or delete everything via Settings → Delete Account. Deletion happens immediately on your device.
- Object or restrict: sign out anytime; the app keeps working fully offline.
Removing the app from your device also erases all profiles and progress. We hold no server-side copy of your child's data.
How long we keep data
- Profiles and game progress: on your device until you remove the profile or the app.
- Subscription records: held by Apple, Google and RevenueCat under their own retention policies, not by us.
International transfers
We do not operate servers that store your data. The only data that crosses borders is what Apple, Google and RevenueCat process for sign-in and subscriptions, under their own privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the date above and post the new version here and in the app.
